Dear Daughters,

We have a great chance here! If you haven't yet seen Barbara's post about her decision to put her hat in the ring for the suddenly available Clerk of Court position, take a moment, and click the link to read it. I'm excited that, now, more than one Daughter is a candidate.

While we as a group do not endorse any certain candidate for any race, I would encourage each of you to contact our County delegation members to favor a qualified woman for the position. South Carolina has the "lowest proportion of women elected to state government in the nation," The State said last month, and this would be a fantastic way for our Delegation members to prove that they're committed to the taxation (as well as the taking of depositions, and recording of court proceedings, etc., etc.) of women with representation.

Again, please take a moment and call at least your own State Representative and Senator to let your feelings be known. Here is their contact info to make it easy! Thanks, and hope to see you at our two events next week!
