Our Mission — The Daughters of Susan B. Anthony is a non-partisan group of local women interested in becoming more engaged in the political process—whether it be helping someone run for office, running ourselves, or simply becoming more aware of issues that our city, county, and state face. We inspire and support women to use the political process to create positive change.

Our Goals & Values — With these, we provide a platform for our inspiration, programs, education, debates, and the dedication of resources. We will do this in part by sharing information, to advance women
in these critical areas:

Political participation by women

~ Increase the number of women in elected office

~ Increase access to institutional resources

Health & well being of women

~ Reduce domestic violence

~ Reduce mortality rates

~ Improve access to healthcare resources

~ Reduce teen and unplanned pregnancies through education

Employment & earnings of women

~ Increase participation in labor force

~ Increase earnings

~ Remove or reduce the wage gap

~ Increase representation in managerial jobs

Economic autonomy of women

~ Decrease poverty rate

~ Increase access to health insurance

~ Increase business ownership

~ Increase educational attainment to Baccalaureate degrees

Great job, Steering Committee! I know this can't have been a simple task, but I believe these are goals and values we can all get behind. I love that they are based on the work of the IWPR. Thank you all for your leadership and hard work!

I am so happy to be a part of this. I particularly love the last sentance of the mission that states "We inspire and support women to use the political process to create positive change." This is something that I have aspired to since high school. Now that I am in a carrer that supports this, and part of this wonderful group that puts it all into action as well, I feel particularly inspired :) Thank you!
